VAS Venezuela complies with the environment

En una actividad que contó con la participación y colaboración del reconocido actor Edgar Ramírez, imagen de Volkswagen, la empresa importadora de vehículos VAS Venezuela organizó una jornada de saneamiento ambiental en las áreas recreativas de Playuela y Playuelita, ubicadas en el sector sur del Parque Nacional Morrocoy, en el estado Falcón.

En la cita, los trabajadores del grupo se integraron a un encuentro enmarcado en el programa de prevención integral del consumo de drogas “Manéjate con Responsabilidad”. Posteriormente, se llevó a cabo el operativo “Limpieza de Playa 2008”, que consistió en un plan de eliminación de desechos para ayudar con la conservación del Parque Nacional de Morrocoy. Para el desarrollo del evento el equipo de VAS Venezuela, importador oficial de las marcas Volkswagen, Volkswagen Comerciales, Seat, Skoda y Audi, recogió 80 bolsas de 40 Kg, donde se depositaron desechos de diversa índole. Al cerrar se cuantificó un peso de 100 Kg. aproximadamente o 3,3 toneladas de basura.

En el acto estuvieron presentes el personal de VAS Venezuela, junto a Nelson López, Iván Dugarte, Dinora González, Cristian Silva, Fernando Kovacs y Edgar Pereira, representantes de Inparques.

Edgar Ramírez sigue triunfando

Edgar Ramírez sigue trabajando sin parar en la meca del cine internacional. Ahora se dispone a concentrarse en su nuevo filme que será rodado en Colombia y donde él encabeza el elenco. En Saluda al diablo de mi parte, interpretará el personaje de Ángel.

El actor escogió este proyecto cinematográfico porque el guión está completamente cargado de adrenalina, que le apuesta al género de acción, el cual ha sido poco explotado en Colombia y por un director que, con sólo su ópera prima, logró captar la atención de Hollywood y de Universal Estudios, empresa con la que ya firmó contrato para el remake de Al final del Espectro, donde dirigirá a Nicole Kidman, a rodarse en Los Ángeles a finales de 2009.

Se pudo conocer que en el filme también trabajarán el peruano Salvador del Solar, y por Colombia, Carolina Gómez, Ricardo Vélez, Patrick Delmas y Diego Cadavid, entre otros.

El guión de la cinta es de Carlos Esteban Orozco, hermano de Juan Felipe, quienes empiezan a sonar en el cine como una dupla exitosa, a través de su nueva empresa de producción de cine, Sanantero Films.

Por su parte, Edgar Ramírez, quien se siente familiarizado con la cultura colombiana porque su infancia se desarrolló en la ciudad fronteriza de San Cristóbal, en Venezuela, conoció el proyecto durante una reciente visita al país para promocionar Justo en la mira.

Previo al inicio de este proyecto es probable que el público pueda verlo en el nuevo filme de Steven Soderbergh The argentine, sobre la vida del Che, mientras que en Venezuela, se exhibe con gran éxito el largometraje Cyrano Fernández, lo que le valió el premio al Mejor Actor en el Festival de Cine de Málaga.

El director de la nueva cinta colombiana Saluda al Diablo de mi parte, Juan Felipe Orozco, confirmó que será el actor Edgar Ramírez, la figura latina más destacada en Hollywood en la actualidad, quien protagonice la cinta, pues por compromisos previos, Marlon Moreno tuvo que declinar la oferta.

A Edgar Ramírez se le reconoce en Colombia por su interpretación del asesino que pone en aprietos a Matt Damon, en El Ultimátum; o como Javier, en Justo en la Mira, quien para salvar la vida de su hermano secuestrado, acepta asesinar al presidente de los Estados Unidos durante su visita a España.

Sin embargo, su carrera ascendente en la meca del cine también lo ha llevado a interpretar diversos y exitosos roles y a obtener premios tan destacados como el otorgado a finales del pasado año por Hollywood Life Magazine Award, como Nuevo Actor, en reconocimiento a su trabajo histriónico.

Actor set for Juan Felipe Orozco’s crime thriller

Venezuela’s most bankable thesp, Edgar Ramirez (”The Bourne Ultimatum,” “Vantage Point”), is attached to play the lead in Colombian crime thriller “Saluda al diablo de mi parte” (My Regards to the Devil) by Juan Felipe Orozco.

This will be Orozco’s second pic. He is set to helm the English-language remake of his debut feature “Al final del espectro” (At the End of the Spectra) for Universal Studios in 2009, with Nicole Kidman attached to star and produce.

Ramirez plays a former guerrilla member, who is reluctantly drawn into the vengeance scheme of one of his victims.

Budgeted at $600,000, pic is written by Juan Felipe’s brother Carlos Esteban Orozco and produced by Sanantero Films, formed by the Orozcos and exec producer Alejandro Angel.

Principal photography of “Saluda al diablo de mi parte” kicks off in Bogota, Colombia, this month with a theatrical release slated for December.

Protagonizará película dirigida por el colombiano Juan Felipe Orozco

El venezolano Edgar Ramírez protagonizará la película colombiana Saluda al diablo de mi parte. Así lo informó el director de la cinta, Juan Felipe Orozco, uno de los talentos emergentes del cine neogranadino. Si bien estaba previsto que lo hiciera el actor colombiano Marlon Moreno, éste desistió por compromisos con el canal RCN.

Orozco reveló al diario El Heraldo de Colombia que la cinta es un thriller de criminales inspirado en el cine de los hermanos Cohen. “Saluda al diablo… es una película sobre la venganza, sobre cómo en la vida las víctimas pasan a ser victimarios y los victimarios víctimas; un mundo que no es blanco ni negro, sino gris. La historia de un antihéroe que se ve obligado a comenzar una cacería para proteger la vida de su hija”

Otra cuota extranjera en la producción será el peruano Salvador del Solar, quien fungirá como el antagonista de Ramírez. “En esta película, que tendrá un estilo ‘tarantinesco’, el protagonista debe tomar decisiones de vida o muerte. Si para conseguir lo que busca tiene que matar, lo va a hacer”, dijo el histrión al diario El Comercio. “Uno de los obstáculos en su camino será mi personaje, a quien conoce desde hace mucho tiempo. Seré un opositor duro de vencer, tendremos enfrentamientos violentísimos, con decenas de balas de por medio, persecuciones y caídas por las ventanas de edificios”.

Saluda al diablo de mi parte cuenta además con las actuaciones de los colombianos Carolina Gómez, Ricardo Vélez, Patrick Delmas y Diego Cadavid, entre otros. El guión de la cinta es de Carlos Esteban Orozco, hermano de Juan Felipe, quienes empiezan a sonar en el cine como una dupla exitosa, a través de su empresa de producción de cine, Sanantero Films.

Con su primera película, Al final del espectro, Juan Felipe Orozco logró captar la atención de Hollywood y específicamente de la australiana Nicole Kidman, quien además de producir el remake de su ópera prima será la protagonista. El rodaje está previsto para finales de 2009 en Los Ángeles.

Orozco fue uno de los directores de la serie producida por Fox, Tiempo final.
